Get To Know You Consultation
Villar Wellness & Aesthetics
Before We Treat Anything, We Get To Know You
Great outcomes don’t start with a syringe, a laser, or a prescription. They start with a conversation.
The Get To Know You Consultation is how every relationship at Villar Wellness & Aesthetics begins. It’s a dedicated, unhurried visit where our team listens to your concerns, evaluates your skin and your goals, and builds an honest, personalized roadmap, before recommending a single treatment.
No pressure. No urgency tactics. Just clarity.
Why We Start Here
Aesthetic medicine works best when it’s personalized, and personalization is impossible without understanding. Your anatomy, your skin, your health history, your lifestyle, and your goals are different from anyone else’s. Your plan should be too.
That’s why we never treat on the first impression. We evaluate, we listen, and we educate, so that every recommendation you receive is grounded in what’s right for you, not what’s trending.
Whether your goals are aesthetic, wellness-focused, or both, this consultation is where your plan takes shape.
What to Expect: Your Consultation, Step by Step
Step 1: A Real Conversation
Your visit begins with listening. Your provider will ask about:
- What brought you in and what you'd like to change
- Your health history, medications, and past treatments
- Your lifestyle, routines, and how you care for your skin
- Your comfort level, your questions, and your concerns
- What "natural" means to you
There are no wrong answers here. The more we understand, the better your plan will be.
Step 2: Thorough Assessment & Skin Analysis
Next, your provider performs a thoughtful evaluation that may include:
- Review of skin tone, texture, pigment patterns, redness, and oil activity
- Facial balance, structure, and aging patterns
- Assessment of sun exposure and environmental stress
- Professional skin analysis imaging for objective insight into hydration, pigmentation, pores, fine lines, redness, texture, and UV damage
This step replaces guessing with data.
Step 3: Your Personalized Roadmap
Finally, your provider walks you through what they see, what they recommend, and why. Your roadmap may include:
- Treatments that fit your goals now
- A phased plan for the months ahead
- Skincare and wellness guidance
- Honest conversation about what to skip
You’ll leave knowing exactly where you stand and what your options are, with zero obligation to book anything.
Exploring Medical Weight Loss?
Your Consultation Includes an InBody 580 Body Composition Scan
For patients whose goals include medical weight loss, the Get To Know You Consultation goes one step further.
Before any weight loss treatment is considered, we establish your baseline with the InBody 580, a professional, clinical-grade body composition analyzer. In a 30-second, non-invasive scan, the InBody measures what a scale never could:
- Body fat mass and percent body fat
- Skeletal muscle mass
- Visceral fat, the fat surrounding your internal organs
- Total body water
- Basal metabolic rate, the calories your body uses at rest
- Segmental analysis of muscle and fat across your arms, legs, and trunk
This matters because not all weight loss is equal. During weight loss, the body can lose muscle along with fat, and preserving muscle supports your metabolism and your long-term results. Your baseline scan gives your provider the data to build a plan designed to protect what matters, and to measure your real progress at every follow-up.
If medical weight loss becomes part of your roadmap, this scan is where your journey starts: with facts, not guesswork.
The scan is quick and comfortable, with no needles and no imaging. Because it uses a low-level electrical signal, it is not appropriate for individuals with pacemakers or other implanted electronic devices, or during pregnancy. Your provider will confirm whether scanning is right for you.
Our Philosophy
Clarity First. Restraint Always.
At Villar Wellness & Aesthetics, we believe the best aesthetic medicine is invisible. Enhancement, never overcorrection. Education, never pressure. A long-term relationship, never a transaction.
That philosophy starts at this consultation. If a treatment isn’t right for you, we’ll tell you. If waiting is the better choice, we’ll say so. Your trust matters more to us than any single appointment.
All care at Villar Wellness & Aesthetics is provided under the supervision of Dr. Melvis Villar, MD, Medical Director, and delivered by licensed medical professionals.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the Get To Know You Consultation?
It’s a dedicated first visit where your provider listens to your goals, evaluates your skin and health history, and builds a personalized treatment roadmap, before recommending any treatment.
How long does the consultation take?
Plan for a relaxed, unhurried visit. We take the time needed to understand your goals and answer your questions fully, without rushing you toward a decision.
Will I be pressured to book treatments?
No. Our philosophy is education over pressure. You’ll leave with a clear roadmap and honest recommendations, and the decision of what to do next is always yours.
Is this only for aesthetics?
No. The consultation covers both aesthetic and wellness goals, including medical weight loss, IV therapy, and body treatments, always with your long-term outcomes in mind.
What is the InBody 580 scan?
The InBody 580 is a professional body composition analyzer used as part of our medical weight loss program. In about 30 seconds, it measures your body fat, skeletal muscle mass, visceral fat, body water, and metabolic rate, giving your provider an objective baseline before any weight loss treatment begins.
Will I get an InBody scan at my consultation?
If medical weight loss is among your goals, yes. Your provider will include the scan as part of your assessment to establish your baseline. The scan is not appropriate for individuals with pacemakers or other implanted electronic devices, or during pregnancy, and your provider will confirm candidacy first.
How should I prepare for the InBody scan?
For the most consistent results, avoid a large meal or intense exercise immediately beforehand and stay normally hydrated. Your provider will walk you through everything on the day of your visit.
Can I get treated the same day?
In some cases, yes, if your provider determines a treatment is appropriate and you feel ready. But there is never an expectation to treat on day one.
What should I bring?
Just yourself. If you have a list of current medications, past treatments, or skincare products you use, that information helps us build a more complete picture.
